New steps...in our apartment. There are three of them. Why does she insist on trying to go down the "adult" way. UGH! Be a baby kiddo...go down on your knees and belly. Pleeeeeease.

Sticks. Little ones, big ones, big ones that break and tiny ones of miniscule proportions. They are a new part of our walks. Sometimes she carries them, sometimes I'm handed them right away but always am the receptor of sticks to place on the kitchen counter. Is this a nature collection or signs of pack-rat-ism. Giggles.

CHARLOTTE DAHLIA says "NO" as a multisyllabic and multivowelled word. How is that possible?
"Nu-ow", she says..possibly emphasizing the "ow" part depending on the importance of her objection.
Her negative reaction to things is not loud, angry or insistent...just put your foot down and giggle when I say it - cute.

New Theme...let's see if you can get the gist of my change in writing style?!

First sign of Charlotte being unappy with packing/moving. I took down a Peter Rabbit shelf in her bedroom and she said "Nuooooooo". "But Charlotte", I said, "we'll hang it in your new room in CHicago". "Nuooooo", she said as she walked out of the room and dropped the subject.

At what age does MOVING to a new state become a psychological journey for a child?
We’ll be staying in Evanston, Illinois for about 3-4 years. Charlotte will be nearly 6 by the time we leave there. People say that you can’t protect your child from everything. I say that preparation is a good remedy.

A Kiss with Sound is such a funny little thing. Charlotte is just full of love. When she decides it is time to snuggle, kiss, roll around and hide under my skirt...she spreads her joy and we love every second. How could we have existed without this sweet little human?

She likes what she likes, when she like it too. How funny and sweet they look together on the couch watching a video. She rarely enjoys cuddling with us on the couch but tonight it was where she wanted to be...with dadee.

Goodbye is easier when you don't know that you're losing something.
Charlotte Dahlia's world is one of endless happiness.
May we all learn from her:)

Moving around her. Well, packing to move, around her. Is it good that she has no idea what is going on? I’m sure that she be as sad as I am about moving away from our dear friends. Andrea, Kira, Allegra, Jenn, Ann, Atavia, Cyndi and Billie Jo.

Fun with Nanny Posted by Hello

View a slideshow on your computer. What a fun way to remember relatives and friends. I'm going to have to pick and choose through some months of photos and make a slideshow. Today we waded through the wedding weekend stuff and Charlotte got a kick out of naming people. Safa, Papa, Nanny, Pops, etc.

TIME is always short. No matter the circumstance, we are always grasping for more hours and minutes. Even while packing for our June 14th move to Chicago I am reading and playing with Charlotte. She does not recognize that we've got so little time to pack. She doesn't care. Why should these 11 days be any different than the rest of her life. She IS the top priority.
